MS Life Focus

In response to recent surveys by Barna and others, we have strategically changed the South Shore experience for our middle school students. Barna's research group has shown that most kids come to a decision about the significance of Jesus Christ by the age of 14. In addition, they found that these kids tend to keep that perspective for the rest of their lives. As a result we have intensified our emphasis on children and young adults. MS Life Saturday Nights

Each Saturday Night our middle school students and small group leaders get real with God. Using a curriculum from student life ministries, our middle schoolers develop the tools that they will need to impact their schools and friends for Christ. Our small group leaders share life with these students and help them to experience God in a real and meaningful way. We are excited about what God is doing in the lives of our students at South Shore.

Students should go directly from the sanctuary to MS Life in the youth room. On Saturday nights we will hand out and have a snack from 6:30-8:30pm. At 7:00 we will begin our night in a large group setting that includes worship through music, dramas, videos and teaching to set up our topic for the night. Then we will break into our LIFE GROUPS (small groups) from 7:30-8:10. In Life Groups students will study their Bible and learn to apply biblcal principles to their lives. Life Groups are very important to the spiritual growth of students. At 8:15 parents pick up students upstairs in the youth room.
In the Student Ministries of South Shore Community Church, our goal is to help middle school students "find and follow Jesus Christ." We have developed programs to help students connect with each other, grow spiritually, honor God, serve God and reach others for Jesus Christ. Through the years it has been incredible to watch God work in the lives of our students with evidence of real life-change and ministry development.
