“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, and baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20
A Disciple Leader for Victorious Disciples involves:
• Prayerfully consider taking one to two women through a one year discipleship program using the book Victorious Disciples.
• A Disciple Leader needs to be further down her spiritual journey than her disciples.
• Victorious Disciples is a minimum one year commitment. There are actually only 11 lessons. This enables you to take the first month to get to know your disciples, or to have the flexibility of an extra month. Taking longer is certainly permissible! The Women’s Ministry believes building a relationship between leaders and disciples is equally as important as working through the content of the material.
• Leaders are expected to meet with their disciples at least twice a month, using the Victorious Disciples book to facilitate the time together, but not confined to just the material. If you have two disciples you can meet with them together or separately. Being in contact between meetings through phone, text, and/or email is essential for continuity of building the relationship. The extent to which you do this is up to you.
A Victorious Disciple would be making a one year commitment to the following:
• To have a faithful, available and teachable spirit: faithful to do the work, available to meet with your Disciple Leader at least twice a month and a willingness to learn what God wants to teach you through the material and your Disciple Leader.
• A commitment to stay in touch with her disciple leader between meetings through phone, text, and/or email is essential for continuity of building the relationship.
• To complete the Victorious Disciple’s book under the guidance of her Disciple Leader.
• To have established an accountability partner by the end of the year.
• To prayerfully consider being in a small group.
• To have prayerfully considered discipling another woman.
