Discover Your

Purpose

"...I WILL REDEEM YOU..."

Knowing God is a defined moment. Finding freedom is a process. Discovering your purpose needs to be the aim, but how do we go about it?

DISCOVER YOUR GIFT

"It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone," Ephesians 1:11-12, MSG.

Continue to grow.  It is important to continue to grow in your relationship with Christ through regular Bible reading, prayer, and being involved in community with other Believers.

Your design reveals your destiny. God has made you the way you are.  Discover your unique design by looking at your personality, your passions, your loves and your dreams. What do these tell you about God's purpose and direction for your life?

Discover your gift. South Shore believes spiritual gifts are given to followers of Christ for the building up of the church for serving God by serving others. Spiritual gifts are not a sign of spirituality, but a gift from God through the Holy Spirit for fulfilling God's purposes (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11, 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:16; 1 Timothy 1:6-7; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10).

Develop your gift. Developing your spiritual gift is at the core of being a follower of Christ. One of the best ways to develop your gift is to use it. There are many places to serve and use your gift. Join a ministry team. Get involved.

“I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.”

Exodus 6:6-7, NIV
